Lesson Formats Offered
On-going Piano Lessons
The On-going lesson format is delivered in either a group or private lesson structure, dependent on preference and availability. Group lessons are preferable for many reasons, so every effort will be made to find a spot in a group lesson. However, we understand that group lessons are not for everyone and are willing to discuss options! For all on-going lessons, you will be responsible for the cost of books, which will be determined based on the level of the student. Group lessons last 45 minutes per week, while private lessons last either 30 or 45 minutes per week, depending on age and level of the student.
**If you are interested in on-going lessons (even if not until 2021-2022 school year), please don't hesitate to get in contact with me sooner than later.
Piano Courses
Courses are perfect for those seeking short-term “bursts” of piano instruction or focused study in a particular aspect/area of musicianship. For example, if you have a child who is not quite ready for a year-long commitment to piano lessons but is interested in trying it out, you could sign him/her up for a beginner course (8-10 weeks). Or, perhaps you or your child have the basics of playing piano due to having taken lessons in the past, but would really like to have the skills to start writing your own music. Our 4 Chord Composing course (12 weeks) would be a worthwhile investment in this case. Most Courses do not require the purchase of a method book. Course lessons last 45 minutes each week.
*If you are unsure about which type of lessons (On-going or Course) is right for you, please reach out and we can work together to figure out which would best help you meet your goals and aspirations.
